How to Share a Screenshot Online with LamShot

LamShot can upload your screenshot to the cloud and give you a shareable link in seconds. No file attachments, no email size limits — just a link anyone can open in a browser.

Uploading and Getting a Shareable Link

1. Take a screenshot

   Use your capture hotkey to grab the region, window, or full screen you want to share. Add any annotations you need using the editor — the uploaded image will include them.

2. Click the Upload button in the toolbar

   In the post-capture toolbar, click the Upload or Share button. It is usually represented by a cloud icon or an upward arrow. LamShot starts uploading immediately.

3. Wait for the upload to complete

   The upload typically finishes in a second or two on a normal internet connection. A progress indicator shows the upload status. LamShot compresses the image for fast loading without significant quality loss.

4. Copy the shareable link

   Once uploaded, LamShot generates a unique URL for the screenshot and copies it to your clipboard automatically. A notification or small popup confirms the link is ready. You can also see the link displayed in the toolbar or a dialog box.

5. Share the link

   Paste the link with Ctrl+V into any chat message, email, document, or bug report. Anyone who receives the link can open it in a browser to view the full screenshot — no app or account required on their end.

About LamShot Cloud

Uploaded screenshots are stored on LamShot's cloud servers. Each upload gets a unique, hard-to-guess URL — it is not listed publicly, so only people who have the link can view it.\n\nScreenshots are associated with your LamShot account if you are signed in. This lets you see a history of everything you have uploaded, set expiry dates, or delete individual screenshots from your account dashboard on the LamShot website.

Managing Uploaded Screenshots

Log into your LamShot account at the LamShot website to manage uploads. From the dashboard you can:\n\nView all uploaded screenshots sorted by date.\n\nDelete a screenshot — once deleted, the link stops working immediately.\n\nSet a screenshot to expire automatically after a specified time (for example, after 7 days or 30 days).\n\nDownload the original file if you did not save it locally.

Privacy Considerations

Before uploading, make sure the screenshot does not contain sensitive information such as passwords, personal data, or confidential documents.
